Server Setup - Audio Buffers

RemAud uses extremly low BufferLengths by default to minimize latency and sends a very high number of TCP packets per second. A sample rate of 8000 Hz, 8 bit, mono and a buffer length of 10 milliseconds equals a buffer size of 82 bytes and 100 chunks of data have to be sent to the client(s) per second.

Settings audio buffers

If you experience glitches or stream drop-outs or if you have a slow internet connection increase the buffer length a little. However, a higher buffer length means a higher latency. The buffer length can be altered while clients are connected. 40 msec is a good default value.
